Only 0.06% of second-dose recipients had corona

Maccabi’s vaccine data for Maccabi proves – the vaccine works: Less than 0.06% of recipients of the second vaccine dose have been diagnosed with corona and the high efficacy of the vaccine is maintained. Data from the Information and Digital Health Division at Maccabi Health Services show that as of the last day, only 254 people have been infected in Corona out of about 416,900 vaccinated who have passed more than a week since receiving the second vaccine. Maccabi reports that from an examination conducted among all those infected, they suffer from only mild symptoms when only four of them were hospitalized, and they too are in a mild condition.

Simultaneously with data on those infected among the vaccinated, a test was conducted among a control group the size of about 778,000 Maccabi members, from a diverse profile, who have not yet been vaccinated against Corona and have not been infected with the virus in the past. Among this group, 12,944 active verified patients were found during the same test period. A comparison of the data between the groups and the calculation of the information shows that at this stage the effectiveness of the vaccine in Israel is 91% after seven days or more from the completion of the second dose.

A segmentation of the infected after the vaccine shows that after the seventh day of receiving the second dose, there is a drop in the number of infected, depending on the results of the Pfizer trial. On the seventh day for receiving the second dose 76 vaccinated were infected, on the eighth day 44 vaccinated were infected and on the ninth day only 24 vaccinated were infected. From the 22nd day of receiving the second dose until the 24th day – the end of the current test period, 0 infections were recorded among all members of the test group.
