One of the strange decisions of Georgios Donis as the coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv was not to register Matan Hozaz for the home stage of the Europa League. The winger was left out, could not be part of the games of the national champion when at the same time in the squad of the team were recorded Ronen Chantzis and Ruslan Bersky, a few days after registration for the home stage, loaned to other teams and thus shortened the Yellows’ squad to Europe.

Another registrant is Orosh Nikolic, who yesterday was re-registered with the Football Association and, in fact, was registered for the first time this season as a Maccabi Tel Aviv player. As you may recall, in the initial registration of the season, Nikolic was not included in the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad and in fact was not part of its staff since it was not possible to register him without a medical examination. The only way to enter a player’s football association is by submitting proper medical examinations. Which was not possible in the summer.
Nikolic, who has spent the last few months in a very long rehabilitation that also included quite a few treatments in Serbia, returned to Israel three weeks ago and recently increased the pace in his personal training and yesterday after undergoing medical tests, was also included in the team for the first time this season. This, of course, still does not mean that he can play football or return to play this season with Maccabi Tel Aviv and only time will tell. The other implication now is that the foreign team has 6 foreigners registered and in order to add a new Maccabi will have to release / loan a foreign player
Unfortunately for Van Leven, the Yellows have not yet been able to strengthen when looking for a player at the front of the offensive link and therefore, even if a new foreign player arrives by the end of the transfer window in Israel, he will not be relevant to the pair against Shakhtar Donetsk and so on. Which can be presented to foreign players in the form of participation in the prestigious stage, no longer exists.
