Hapoel Haifa striker Raz Stein, who is unhappy and is considering his future in the team, asked to leave Hapoel Haifa and was answered in the affirmative, as the club from Carmel does not stand in the way of the player apparently leaving for Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Following the announcement of the release, the Reds from the Carmel expressed their great frustration and disappointment at the decision to release the player, with most of the anger directed towards coach Haim Sylves.

As you may recall, Stein signed for Hapoel Haifa in July 2020 after starring in the national league and being selected as the league’s outstanding player. This season he made 15 appearances with Haim Sylves’ team when he only played three games.

Stein’s agent, Adam Kidan, Raz said: “Raz felt that he was not able to get the stage he deserved due to his good ability recently, and decided in a joint consultation with the agency to request his release from Hapoel Haifa and to his delight he was answered in the affirmative.”

Katz: “Glad my decision to back Sylvester paid off”

Meanwhile, a lot of pressure was released after Hapoel Haifa’s 0: 2 victory over Bloomfield against Bnei Yehuda. Once again Haim Sylves proves that when the sword is placed around his neck, he knows how to get the best out of his team.

The coach made one significant substitution when he returned Mickey Sirostein to the center of defense. Dor Malul, who was weak in the last few games, also looked much better and contributed to the team’s defensive game, which was much better. Hapoel Haifa did not absorb a mandatory goal and managed to score a double, one of them was Liran Serdel, who received a yellow card on Thursday and did not play in a derby next week.

By the way, another contact, Ruslan Bersky, will not play in the upcoming game against Maccabi Netanya for the same reason as the Yellows. The team can be pleased with the awakening of striker William Agada who has scored his third goal of the season and is starting to pay first bills. Alon Turgeman still lacks playing ability, but Hapoel Haifa are convinced that as soon as Turgeman removes rust, his goals will come.

The upcoming game against Netanya becomes critical for the fight for the top playoff as Netanya is in sixth place with three points over Haifa. Owner Yoav Katz sounded pleased with the victory and his decision to back up Sylves despite pressure from the fans to make a change in the coach’s position.

Katz He said: “I was very pleased with the team’s defensive game, compared to the game against Maccabi Petah Tikva. We knew in the second half to continue playing with great vigor, these three points are oxygen and now we will have to look up. We have many more points to return.”

The club claims that without Katz’s support it would have been very difficult for Sylves to get through the last week. On the decision to continue to give backing to Sylvester, the owner said: “I think it paid off and it was important to do so even though some of the fans did not like it. The good of the team was important to me above all else and I am glad it paid off. No less important than next week’s derby. ”
