Filming for series six was postponed back in March 2020, before the team resumed work in September after a five-month hiatus due to the Covid crisis.
While the team has admitted that it was difficult for them to work around the new Covid limitations, it is clear that they had no problem coming up with additional materials.

Awesome Trio: Adrian returns to police drama as Superintendent Hastings with Martin (DS Arnott) and Vicky McClure (DI Kate Fleming)
Adrian returns to police drama as Superintendent Hastings with Martin (DS Arnott) and Vicky McClure (DI Kate Fleming), who are the famous faces of AC-12, the show’s anti-corruption fiction unit.
The sixth series will also see Kelly MacDonald as Chief Investigator Joanne Davidson, chief investigating officer on unsolved murder.
But this series took a slightly different turn than the three AC-12s expected, as both filming and plotting had to change to comply with Covid-19 rules.
New safety measures even included the famous glass-walled interrogation room, where the three AC-12s interrogate suspects in scenes that take days to film, changing them.
Speaking previously about the challenges of filming Lorraine, writer Jed Mercurio acknowledged that the filming process has been ‘difficult’ for those involved.
Saying that the team were ‘delighted’ to be able to film the sixth season of the BBC show, Jed explained: ‘It’s been really hard to be honest with you.
‘I have to pay homage to the team and our great team, we diligently wear masks all the time, we clean things that are passed from one person to another. ‘
