Following the decision of the Israeli government to extend the validity of the temporary order restricting the operation of passenger flights to and from Israel until at least February 7, 2021, El Al is forced to cancel the passenger flights planned this week, until 6/2/21 inclusive.
El Al will maintain air contact with Israel through cargo flights, including 787 Dreamliner flights to Shanghai, Guangzhou (China), Hong Kong, Seoul, New York, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Milan and Liege (Belgium). The air train will continue to bring vaccines to Israel.
Following numerous inquiries received by the company from its customers, the company is working with the state authorities to obtain approval to operate rescue flights to / from New York this week, which will allow return to Israel, on a direct flight without the need for a connection in Europe, of Israelis staying in the United States.
As soon as a positive answer is received from the state authorities, the company will update on the schedules in which the flights will operate.
