The project is called The Mother, with Mulan director Niki Caro in talks to lead the project, Time said.
The actress is expected to play the murderous female murderer in the story – in the spirit of the classic Luc Besson The Professional, outdoors.
Her character comes out of hiding to protect her daughter, whom she had abandoned years before.
Jennifer will be doing the project with Elaine Goldsmith Thomas for Nuyorican Productions, as well as Benny Mendina, Roy Lee and Miri Yoon for Vertigo Entertainment, as well as Misha Green, who wrote the screen with reviews by Andrea Berloff.
