The presenter Corinne Gideon Who became a new mother, found herself in the midst of a storm and harsh criticism when she posted a poignant post about the maternity ward at Ichilov Hospital. “The wards are shocking without a window, without oxygen, without knowing whether light or darkness, hardly an armchair by the bed. No one deserves such treatment,” she concluded: “And I am Corinne Gideon.”
Gideon’s post led to a harsh and stinging response from staff and the department’s professor Yariv Yogev: “I have never encountered a shocking post as horrible as you wrote. For a moment I thought you were diagnosed with corona blue and you are staying in the corona ward, alongside verified mothers, whose happiest day in their lives has become a dramatic experience.”
