Young Rock Trailer: A Closer, Fun Look at the Wonder called ‘The Rock’

Young Rock star Johnson’s Dwayne ‘The Rock’ trailer is out. The video suggests that NBC’s show is going to be a high point of Johnson’s life. Still, it looks like a good watch.

The trailer opens with Johnson being interviewed for his upcoming presidential campaign, which is set to take place in 2032. This is an obvious wink-wink as the Hollywood star was considering very much on the run for the 2020 presidential election.

And of course, enduring references are growing as Dwayne Johnson first won the title as The Rock’s conservative champion. We see the actor lifting weights, looking older than he is at 15 and boldly but innocently saying that wrestling is not ‘real’ as a child. Actor Matt Willig will also appear as the late wrestling star Andre the Giant. In real life, Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson and Andre the Giant seem to have been close friends.

From a humble beginner to now becoming the biggest Hollywood star, Dwayne Johnson’s journey has been very interesting, and perhaps even a lesson in control if one took a closer look. So it’s no surprise that a TV series is about to be released based on its adventurous life.

Created by Dwayne Johnson and Nahnatchka Khan, Young Rock will appear for February 16th.
