Athletic Bilbao players celebrate (La Liga)
The 20th round of the Spanish league continued tonight (Monday) and provided a crazy goal celebration in which Athletic Bilbao defeated Getafe 1: 5, just before they host the next round against Barcelona at the Camp Nou. The game, like all Spanish league games, was broadcast on the ONE channel for yes subscribers, HOT Cellcom TV and Partner TV.
Since winning the Super Cup in the dramatic 2: 3 over Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao seem to be feeling much better, and that can be seen on the pitch. The Basques took the positive momentum and leveraged it for the league as well, which helped them gain 3 precious points and pass the visitors on the way to 9th place in the table.
The madness started from the first minute, Mark Cucoria scored a quick goal for the visitors, but the red-whites responded quickly with an equalizer by Raoul Garcia in the 13th minute. In this situation, Jaime Mata missed a penalty that could have changed the face of the game, and since then the guest has simply disappeared.
The Basques managed to turn the score around as early as the start of the second half thanks to a goal by awe-inspiring Albers (50). Garcia then completed a double (61), followed by Alex Branger (75) joining the celebration and the one who sealed the result of the game was Oscar de Marcos (82). At the next meeting, Athletic Bilbao will meet Barcelona again, this time in the league, and it seems that the Catalans who want revenge, have plenty of reasons to fear this confrontation.
