Rescuers in Beijing, China, rescued 11 gold miners trapped in an underground mine for about 14 days yesterday (Sunday). The group of workers got stuck in the mine following a large explosion that occurred, which caused the mine opening to become clogged and forced them to remain underground without food and water. In the documentation from the moments of the rescue, one can see the first verb that came up while lying on a stretcher, covered with a blanket and with a blindfold. Watch the rescue of the trapped:

According to the Reuters news agency, rescue crews found three more men in another part of the mine, when one of them was injured. Also, one gold miner was killed following the explosion at the Hoshan gold mine, which took place on January 10th. “We made a breakthrough this morning,” said the chief engineer of the rescue center, Xiao Venero, adding, “After we repaired the broken parts, we discovered that there were more cavities underground.”

Officials also reported that the rescue of another crew trapped underground would take about two weeks, as they would have to drill another shaft in order to reach them. The Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that the people rescued were in good physical condition and that they had been provided with regular food since Saturday, after several days they had to try to make ends meet. In addition, it was reported that a total of about 22 workers were trapped in the blast at a depth of 600 meters underground.
