Computer maker Intel Corp. Friday blamed internal error for data leakage that led to early release of quarterly earnings report. They said his physical network was not compromised. The company’s chief financial officer, George Davis, had earlier stated Financial Times that Intel announced its earnings ahead of the stock market shutdown Thursday because it believed a hacker stole financially sensitive information from the site.
The company’s quarterly results were expected to be announced hours later after the Wall Street trade closure on Thursday.

“An infographic has been removed from the site of our PR newsroom,” newspaper Davis said. He said an unnamed company spokesman said Intel had been notified that the graphic was circulating outside the company.
Early access to such information would be beneficial to a stock trader.
On Friday, Intel released a statement saying it had confirmed that a hack did not occur.
He said: “The URL of our employment infographic was made public before our earnings were published and by third parties. As soon as we became aware of the situation we issued our job announcement promptly. Intel’s network was not compromised and we have changed our process to prevent this in the future. “
The company’s stock price closed more than 9 percent on Friday.
