, Announced that it has signed a global partnership agreement with US technology giant EFI, which specializes in digital printing technology. The global partnership will make it possible to offer customers of both companies complete digital solutions for improving production efficiency.

The solutions will include: digital printing, cutting and folding systems for the corrugated cardboard market that will enable a digital production process sequence, as well as software tools for optimizing packaging production processes in various work environments in the corrugated and hard cardboard packaging manufacturing market. The company is managed by Shlomo Nimrodi.

The common denominator between the two companies includes, among others, a common group of core customers, while alongside EFI’s ability to provide digital printing solutions for the corrugated cardboard packaging market and ERP systems for the packaging manufacturing market in general, the companies will now be able to offer their customers a complete solution package. The digital ones include a complete digital solution for the production of cardboard packaging, a market estimated at about $ 450 billion a year.

The sales teams of the two companies will be able to offer a complete digital solution for the packaging production market from corrugated cardboard, which includes EFI’s Nozomi’s digital printing system and the digital cutting and folding systems from Icon Beam & Euclid.

In the upcoming software version of Icon, Euclid and Beam systems, Icon customers will be able to integrate in their production processes an EFI online ordering portal – EFI MarketDirect PackCentral that will allow receiving orders for packaging online and in EFI Auto-Count 4D software, which enables real-time automatic collection of production data Used to improve overall production efficiency.

This partnership between the companies will significantly improve the production times of packaging from the development phase to the printing phase to the cutting and folding phase and thus will create significant value for the packaging manufacturers as well as the major consumer brand manufacturers and other customers.

The American company EFI was founded in 1989 by high-tech entrepreneur Efi Arazi, founded by Scitex, and was acquired in 2019 by the Syris Capital Fund for about $ 1.7 billion. Prior to its acquisition, its shares were traded on Nasdaq. The company has developed digital printing technology with home and industrial printers, including in the field of packaging, textiles and ceramic tiles, and offers a variety of printers. The company’s headquarters are located in California, and it has offices around the world, including a research and development center in Israel, in Rosh HaAyin.
