Mujjo Sleeve For 13-Inch MacBook Pro And MacBook Air

I recently wrote about my experience using the new Apple MacBook Pro M1 over the last month. If you picked one – or maybe the new M1 MacBook Air – you need something to keep it looking fresh as you carry it around. A laptop sleeve is a great choice for leg use. It’s not bulky and you can just slide the laptop inside. If you’re looking for a minimalist option with some bad styling to complement your new Apple purchase, they don’t get much better than the Mujjo Sleeve for the 13-inch MacBook Pro and Air MacBook.

This is a laptop sleeve that is very attractive, and one that is very natural and warm. No plastic or card-stiff leather. Mujjo uses high quality materials.

Most of the Mujjo Case is done with emotion. It is thick, soft and treated to soften skin and strengthen water repellency. The flap is made of full grain vegetable leather. It is wadded and treated with aniline oil. Edges are left raw. The leather is offered in black or tan. I really like the tan – it’s very different from the dark gray feel. Even the metal trap as a subject is carefully considered, made with gunmetal gray alloy and mounted to an extra layer of sensitivity so that metal does not contact the laptop.

Built to be functional (and ultimately)

Some careful design has entered the Swedish Mujjo. The irregular flap closure and the contrast between the leather and the feel offer more style than most laptop sleeves. However, the products not only look and feel warm and organic, they add to their functionality.

For example, the soft feel ensures that the MacBook will never be scratched, while also providing some protection. The feel is also water resistant. The snap closure keeps the seam securely closed, but metal never comes in contact with the laptop inside. The stitching is precise and free of loose threads, going well for so long. The MacBook in Mujjo Slim doesn’t offer weapon-level and waterproof protection, but it’s well-equipped to survive carrying around and being used every day by most – and it looks very elegant while doing so.

This is more than just a basic fad. Open the flap and there’s a sensor divider that runs the entire length that creates a storage compartment large enough to carry documents or small devices like earbuds – while keeping them completely separate from the laptop. Within that department, Mujjo designers sewed a slotted leather pocket that can hold cards securely. There is even a mini-slot to hold a memory card securely.

Hands-On

The first test, of course (at least in this case), is whether the Mujjo Sleeve fits the new M1 MacBook Pro. The answer is yes. It slides in nicely and responds nicely with little movement around. Mujjo says this slim is also compatible with the new 13-inch MacBook Air M1, as well as the previous Intel-based 13-inch MacBook Pro / Air models with Retina displays.

I wasn’t about to drop my MacBook Pro off board, but the thick feel feels like it offers a much better chance of survival. I studied water exposure. I don’t think I would want the soft leather to be wet, but the feel stayed up to the water repellent application. Liquid just baths on …

Based on my experience with Mujjo iPhone cases (reviewed here), that leather is going to stay soft and supple while developing a unique patina.

Praise

If you’re carrying around a 13-inch MacBook Pro or MacBook Air and want bulletproof protection, you need to go with a hefty knee case with ballistic nylon and foam masses.

However, if you want strong basic protection in a minimalist slim that looks unique in style, combining high-quality materials with thoughtful features, and eliminating craftsmanship instead of mass production. , take a look at Mujjo Sleeve. The best part is that this top suit carries a non-premium price tag – currently only $ 69.90 direct from Mujjo.

Disclosure: Mujjo rolled up his sleeve for an assessment but did not contribute to this review.
