Iranian Ayatollah posts image of drone-targeted Trump-lookalike golf

Iran’s Prime Minister Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has suggested that former U.S. President Donald Trump should be assassinated in retaliation for the death of Iran’s chief general Qassem Soleimani last year.

On Friday, Khamenei posted an image of Trump-like golf under the shadow of a drone to Twitter.

The image was written with comments from Khamenei in December in which he said ‘Revenge is certain’ for Soleimani’s death.

At the time, his remarks renewed a revenge vote ahead of the first anniversary of the assassination of Iran’s top military leader.

Soleimani was killed in U.S. airstrikes on January 3 last year in Iraq, ordered by Trump.

‘Those who ordered the assassination of General Soleimani as well as those who did this should be punished,’ Khamenei tweeted on 16 December.

Not to mention Trump, he said: ‘This revenge is bound to happen at the right time. ‘

Trump – best known for his love of golf – has replaced newly elected President Joe Biden, who was inaugurated at a ceremony Wednesday in Washington DC.

The new president is believed to be looking to get more involved on the global stage – as opposed to Trump’s most isolated approach – in the hopes of returning to the Obama-era nuclear deal and Ioran.

Earlier this month, Twitter sent out a tweet by Khamenei in which he said that US and British-made vaccines were unreliable and that they may intend to ‘pollute other countries’. The platform said the tweet broke its rules against misinformation.

There appeared to be no immediate action by Twitter over the tweet in the Persian language on Friday by Khamenei, Iran’s highest authority.

Tensions have grown rapidly between Tehran and Washington since 2018, when Trump signed a 2015 treaty between Iran and six world powers that sought to block Tehran’s nuclear program.

Washington has again imposed sanctions that have eased Iran’s economy.

Iran called for action and ‘not just words’ shortly after he introduced Joe Biden as US president on Wednesday. Biden has said that Washington will return to the nuclear deal if Iran starts a strict surrender.

Earlier this month, an arrest warrant was issued by Iraq for former President Trump in connection with the Soleimani assassination.

The warrant was issued on Jan. 7 by a judge in Baghdad’s trial court tasked with investigating a Washington-led drone strike that killed Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the court’s media office said.

They were killed outside the capital’s airport in January last year.

Al-Muhandis was a deputy commander of the state-controlled Popular Movement Forces, a shadow group made up of several militias, including Iranian-backed groups, formed to fight the Islamic State group.

Soleimani commanded the Quds campaign force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps.

Not to mention Trump, Iranian Director-General Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said: ‘This revenge will surely happen at the right time. 'Trump (pictured in golf in November) is known for his love of the sport, and has several golf courses

The arrest warrant for a charge of murder was premeditated, which carries the death penalty when convicted. It is unlikely to be made merely symbolic in the difficult days of Trump’s presidency.

The decision to issue the warrant was’ made after the judge recorded the plaintiffs’ statements from the family of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, ‘according to a statement from the Central Judicial Council.

The investigation into the killings is ongoing, the court said.

The killings sparked a diplomatic crisis and undermined ties between the U.S. and Iraq, drawing the attention of Shiite political lawmakers who passed a non-binding resolution to pressure the government to expel foreign troops. the country.

Since then, Iranian-backed groups have carried out attacks against America’s presence in Iraq, leading to threats from Washington to close its Baghdad diplomatic mission.
