Creator Peaky Blinders has said the catchy drama will be turned into a movie.
Steven Knight recently confirmed that the BBC One show will come to an end after the upcoming sixth series.
Knight has now announced the date: “Covid has changed our plans. But I can say that my plan from the beginning was to end Peaky with a movie.
“That’s what’s going to happen. ”
The crime drama TV, based in Birmingham interwar, has begun production after a delay due to a coronavirus.
The sixth series, written by Knight, concludes with the troubled Tommy Shelby saga of Cillian Murphy and the rise of his family to power against Birmingham’s industrial backdrop.
Knight says of the sixth series: “Peaky is back with a bang. After the delayed rape result due to Covid pandemic, we found the family in great danger and the stakes were never higher.
“We think this is the best series of all and we are sure that our amazing fans will enjoy it. As the TV series comes to an end, the story continues in another format. ”
