Prof. Yaron Zelicha, Chairman of the New Economic Party, presented today (Tuesday) his party’s list to the Knesset as well as the new entrant – Prof. Yoram Yuval. The first quartet on the list so far includes four leading professors in their field – Zelicha, Osnat Akirav, Yoram Yuval and Alian Alkirnawi.
Also on the list are Col. Itzik Turgeman – one of the founders of the Atidim program, Nadav Asael – a lawyer and anti-corruption activist, Tzipi Meinmeiner – founder of the Haredi Filmmakers’ Forum, Wahl Krim – an accountant and businessman, Elias Inbrom – one of the leaders of the Ethiopian protests , Einat Kaufman – Dr. of Psychology, Itamar Glazer – Engineer and Social Entrepreneur and Yehuda Messing – Independent and Entrepreneur.

Prof. Osnat Akirav, A senior academic woman and head of the Department of Political Science at the Western Galilee Academic College, is also joining the party. She is a native of Be’er Sheva, and has a doctorate from the Hebrew University, specializing in parliamentary research, methods of selecting candidates and researching the Israeli political system. Another joiner, Elian Alkirnawi, Is a professor of social work, former president of the Achva Academic College and head of the School of Social Work at Ben-Gurion University.
Itzik Turgeman He is an electronics engineer, served as an officer with the rank of colonel in the Intelligence Corps and won the Israel Security Award, one of the founders of the Atidim program and was the CEO of the Rashi Foundation.
Tzipi Manheimer She is an ultra-Orthodox woman, a two-degree social entrepreneur who promotes core studies and the integration of the ultra-Orthodox population in the economy. We will also mention that Zelicha announced last week that he will work to cut child benefits over a fifth child in a new family after he is elected, as part of the steps he will take as finance minister to resolve the economic crisis.
