Adidas unveils new and up-to-date version of the famous football model: PREDATOR FREAK.

This is a very advanced version developed with the aim of producing maximum ball control using adidas ‘DEMONSKIN technology, which was created to maximize the players’ natural talents.

DEMONSKIN technology is based on a unique layer of silicone spikes, which has been pre-calibrated by a computerized algorithm and encircles the shoe upper at the player’s main contact points on the ball.

The technology was first launched in 2020. Now adidas has expanded its silicone spike cover in a way that surrounds the shoe 360 degrees to ensure maximum control and ball rotation.

Paul Pogba, a Manchester United player, has been selected to serve as one of the main experimenters in shoe development. The fit, abrasion and performance of the shoe were tested while on Pogba’s feet and he passed on to Adidas developers feedback on which they based their improvements. Pogba noted: “From the first time I tried the shoe I knew Adidas had created something special with their DEMONSKIN technology. As soon as I touched the ball I really felt the difference in the way my foot touched it. I’m glad my experience influenced the PREDATOR’s new design.”

The new PREDATOR FREAK model also includes a new and updated design that allows the foot a greater range of motion. The upper of the shoe sewn with PRIMEKNIT technology without laces (a sewing technology made of a uniform fabric that creates the feeling of a sock that directly wraps around the foot) allows easy entry of the foot effortlessly.

The new design provides a perfect fit for the foot and ankle, as well as creating a uniform surface area for prolonged ball control. The new sole is manufactured using CONTROLFRAME technology. This is a lightweight sole with unique caps that allow the player stability and optimal control to ensure maximum traction.

The model will star on the feet of many actors including Paul Pogba, Tony Dugan, Rodrigo Bentcour, David Alaba and more.
