Roni Nissani will continue as Williams’ official test driver in Formula 1, the team announced today (Tuesday).

The announcement said that Nissani had a successful first year at Williams, where it provided valuable feedback and contributed to the development of the FW43 car, both in work on the track and in the simulator. Nissani has been a training partner in the Spanish, Italian and Bahraini Grand Prix, and has successfully participated in end-of-season training in Abu Dhabi. In addition to his commitments as a test driver, the 26-year-old Israeli driver took part in the FIA ​​Formula 2 Championship and is enjoying his best season so far in this category. In addition, he opened the pool position in the sprint race at Spa-Francorchamps.

Nissani, as mentioned, will continue as the team’s official test driver in 2021 and will take part in three training sessions this year as well. The Israeli will also be behind the wheel during the pre-season training and testing day before the first race of 2021 and will participate in a larger amount of simulator training in the groove.
