For the first time in the junior season, the Golden State Warriors met defending champion Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center for a primetime matchup.
While the Warriors quickly fell behind LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers early in the first quarter, Steph Curry put up a pass that deserved a high score. With 8:38 left in the first quarter, Curry went through the Lakers defense with a terrible laziness to make Davis bite.
As soon as the most valuable two-time player moved past Davis, Curry handed a clever pass without a shot to Kelly Oubre Jr. cutting at the baseline. Oubre Jr. finished the dime from Curry with a throwaway throw at the edge.

Adding to his unbeaten pass on Oubre Jr., Curry stopped the first quarter drilling a three-speed signature at the kite.
Curry finished the first quarter in Los Angeles with five points on a 2-of-7 shooting from the floor with two assists, stealing and rebounding in 12 minutes.
