Atletico’s defensive ability is so impressive that we chose another representative of the team. Despite his success in recent months the Montenegrin has not always been Cello’s first choice but this season he has become a banker, and rightly so. Beyond that his leap has even managed to forget the many shortcomings of Jose Maria Jimenez.
Left Shield: Tau Hernandez (Milan) – 4 goals and 3 assists in 15 league games.
As a wheel spins. Just two years ago Hernandez was considered a huge flop by the Blancos and this season is perhaps the best defender in European football. The Frenchman’s mobility, technique and creativity in the wing make him a constant danger, and Milan fans enjoy every moment.

The Spanish champion is having a hard time finding the winning formula so far but to her delight she has an island of stability in midfield. In addition, the Brazilian even improved his scoring ability when he reached his annual ‘quota’ as early as January.

The Bavarians are experiencing some tension but the best player in the world of UEFA is broadcasting business as usual. At 32, the Polish bomber is showing the best scoring rate of his life, and if that continues Bayern will load another degree or two into his glorious coffin.
