Promoter Eddie Hearn has questioned the confidence of Tyson Fury and his team about winning a fight against Anthony Joshua.
IBF, WBA and WBO champion Joshua and WBC title holder could be just weeks away from proving a dream fight for the region’s undisputed rule.
US-based Fury promoter Bob Arum said he was 95 percent confident the fight would happen in 2021 and 100 percent sure the WBC champion would win.
Joshua is their favorite to beat Fury, Hearn said
Joshua promoter Hearn responded: “I don’t think anyone can be 100 per cent confident about anyone who wins a fight like this.
“They could fight 10 times and not get 10 results.
“I believe Joshua is their favorite in this fight. I know, with the bookies, it’s Fury.
“But I can see the improvements Anthony is making and the desire he has had.
“But I have written Fury off before – against Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. He proved me wrong.
“But I don’t think it would prove me wrong this time.
“I believe our son won.
“But talking is free. We have to roll the dice and get out.”

Work is underway through difficulties such as Deontay Wilder ‘s bid for a third fight with Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’ s status as a mandatory opponent for Joshua to secure the region ‘s most prestigious fight, according to the two promoters.
Two Joshua vs Fury meetings are planned to be held this year with the venue, due to a forced UK population shortage, an issue that remains to be resolved.
“It’s a must for both men,” Hearn said of getting closer to a contract.
“I am very confident that it will happen.
“We’ve been here before. Amir Khan vs Kell Brook? This is bigger, a lot bigger.
“When a fight of this magnitude manifests itself and you have two boys who want it, we generally see it.
“I can’t wait to crown AJ for sure. This year it will make it happen.”
