Former defender Taifa Stars explains that they have a good knowledge of the Chipolopolo coach and will give a taste of his style of play
Tanzania have said they know how to handle Zambia coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic ‘s playing style when both sides clash in the African Nations Championship on Tuesday.
The Taifa Stars are in Group D of the tournament to be held in Cameroon and will play Chipolopolo in their opening match at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium.
Team manager Nadir Haroub, nicknamed ‘Cannavaro’, during his playing time for the national team, has now reviewed videos of Zambia playing and understanding how best has dealt with coach ‘Micho’, who he described as East African football master.
“I know coach Micho well, he was already my coach and he is one of the coaches who loves to pack his midfield, he uses the midfield. to play, he is a good coach and has experience mostly in East Africa where he has coached a lot, he understands everything, ”said Haroub Azam TV in Limbe.
“He’s a coach who uses the midfield to get results, but I know we have a good coach too, he’s been reviewing videos of how Zambia play and we’ll try our best to introduce him, we will try as much as we can to stop his style, we know it will be possible. ”
Commenting on how Tanzania are ready for the opener, Haroub said: “We have designed ourselves well, we are well prepared, we are ready, and our coach is now in the top 11. his choice for the opener.
“Our coach was watching Zambia against Cameroon [during the friendly] and we are also reviewing videos on Zambia to see how we can prepare; I know the video will help us a lot.
“We want to find out about their mistakes so we can handle them, Zambia are a great team, they have good players, and even in my last scene in this competition in 2009, we were knocked out. with Zambia after 1- 1 draw.
“I know it’s a big job, it won’t be easy against them, but we’re willing to get the competition off to a good start.”
Haroub, who appeared for Tanzania during the same tournament in 2009, has also revealed how he has inspired the players entering the tournament.
“I have told the players that this is a business, that they are in business when they are playing football, the players need to know that they have to perform well because all the scouts here, it’s easy to see them and end play in Europe and I’ve told the players to seize the opportunity and play good football, ”Haroub continued.

The next Group D match will see Guinea against Namibia on Tuesday.
