The chairman of the “New Hope” party, Gideon Saar, announced tonight (Sunday) that he will require all party employees to undergo a polygraph examination. The decision stems from Saar’s fear that there is a “mole” among his employees who will leak out details from the election campaign. In addition, Fellow Segal announced tonight that Gideon Saar has hired the services of four American strategic advisers, who were in charge of the “Lincoln Project” designed to bring about the loss of Donald Trump in the US presidential election.
In the campaign, they acted subtly against him in order to convince Republicans that the president no longer represented them and their values. Apparently, Saar intends in the current election campaign to work on a similar line among Likud voters.

Saar is not the first to make such a decision in Israeli politics. Last November, Defense Minister and Chairman of the Blue and White Party Bnei Gantz turned to his party members and asked them all to undergo a polygraph examination, after being leaked to the media that during the faction meeting Gantz said he did not believe Netanyahu would maintain the rotation signed in the coalition agreement.
As you may recall, Saar established “New Hope” last December, a few days before the dissolution of the 23rd Knesset, and stated that in the upcoming elections he will run for prime minister. Saar, who retired from the Likud party, was joined by former Minister of Higher Education Zeev Elkin, also from the Likud, as well as Yifat Shasha-Bitton, Zvi Hauser and Yoaz Handel.
