The good news is that several Boston Celtics will return to action tonight against the Orlando Magic as the two teams take on each other at TD Garden this Friday afternoon.
The team recorded Jaylen Brown, Daniel Theis, Semi Ojeleye and Javonte Green all available for tonight’s competition. The bad news is of course that the Celtics are still far from being at their full potential, although it is the Magic who share the same concerns as several of their top players out there are injured or injured. working through the health and safety of the protocol league as well.
As of this writing, that leaves Orlando with just 10 players available, and Boston with a dozen – that’s not as bad as some of the eye-catchers who have been taking part in elsewhere in the league but certainly far from the best.
The Celtics will be particularly thin in front court with only Theis, Ojeleye and a two-way Tacko Fall center available, but the Druids are just as thin with only bigs Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Khem Birch available.
Boston is a huge hit despite their dinged-up rotation, and for a team at the top of the East Conference standings facing one square in the middle of the pack down a number of key players, that makes sense.
