The Catalan side or the capital club? Who has the best prize in a Super Cup?
The Supercopa de Espana no Spanish Super Cup a tournament in which the winners and runners – up of La Liga take on the winners and runners – up at Copa del Rey.
Launched as it is now in 1982, the previous competition consisted of only two teams – La Liga winners and Copa winners.
It was usually a two-pronged relationship, with the winner taking home the prize.
Since 2019 the Spanish Super Cup has included four teams, with two semi-finals and a final, all in one-legged matches.
With their image as world football giants, it is no surprise to see Clasico competitors Barcelona and Real Madrid control the competition, but who is more successful?
