A day after the destruction of the graves in the Nabataean cemetery, a group of youths from the Bedouin community arrived this morning (Friday), students from the leadership school of the Desert Stars organization, to renovate the cemetery, paint the fences and convey a message of love and hope.
As mentioned, a minor resident of the Bedouin diaspora was arrested yesterday on suspicion following a video posted on the Tiktok social network, in which he was seen with another boy, a resident of the Palestinian Authority, smashing gravestones in the cemetery.

Kochavi Hamidbar is a Jewish-Bedouin organization working to develop a new generation of young Bedouin leadership in the Negev. The organization was established with the aim of changing the daily reality of the Bedouin community in particular and of the Negev region in general. The Desert Stars organization connects, develops and trains youth living in various localities and tribes in the Negev and creates a cohesive leadership group that leads change processes.
The organization operates frameworks that create an educational continuum of about 10 years and equip Bedouin young men and women for a life of social action, leadership, leadership and self-fulfillment. The organization, together with the Bnei Shimon Regional Council, operates a high school for leadership where 200 students from Bedouin localities from all over the Negev study.

Nir Zamir, head of the Bnei Shimon Regional Council, said: “Two days ago, the cemetery in Nabatieh was vandalized. It was a severe blow to the residents of the moshav and the residents of Bnei Shimon in general. “The place, they showed, is possible in another way – we can work together, strengthen the good neighborhood, we can join hands for a better Negev for all of us. I am proud of this initiative and happy about it, and happy about the way it is beginning to form in the area.”
