Danny Green says the 76ers welcomed Tobias Harris, using others

The Philadelphia 76ers appear to be getting some rebounds ahead of their game against Miami Heat on Thursday. The Sixers appear to be welcoming Tobias Harris, Shake Milton and Matisse Thybulle back to the line-up after being out for about a week due to league health and safety protocols.

The team had a hunt on Thursday, and veteran Danny Green was excited to get them back out there with the team.

“Yeah, we had them here,” Green said with a smile. “It was great to see the faces of the people again, take them around, and know that we have more bodies tonight. ”

The Sixers must rely on young players Tyrese Maxey, Isaiah Joe and Dakota Mathias at a difficult time throughout the league. It’s important to have the top players at the Sixers back, and it will also take some of the load off a veteran like Green.

“It would be amazing,” he said. “I don’t have to play so many minutes, nobody ever complained about playing a lot of minutes, but for me, as I got older, I don’t think I have to play played as many minutes as I had played. ”

Playing fewer minutes for someone like Green will allow him to be sharper with the focus. He was asked to be another ball handler while the Sixers were so short-handed. With the players coming back, he can go back to aiming for what was introduced to do: Shoot the ball from depth.

“To be more effective, to be more direct to be locked so that you do not make as many insulting and defensive mistakes as possible in any depression,” he concluded. “I need to do a better job of paying attention to the ball, not turning it around. With those guys back, I think it makes it easier for me to just do my job and what was brought into me. ”

Tipoff with the Heat is set for 7pm EST at the Wells Fargo Center.
