Under the agreement, Israel will also provide Slovakia with technology and knowledge and industrial cooperation, including support for local industry. IAI’s radar systems will allow synchronization with NATO’s defense systems.

In recent years, similar systems have been integrated into the command and control systems of other countries in the NATO alliance. The MMR radar, manufactured in IAI’s Elta Division, is operationally proven and integrated into a variety of air defense systems in Israel and around the world. The radar detects the threat, classifies it, calculates the point of impact and the location from which missiles, mortars or artillery were fired, and provides the weapon system with vital data that allows several threats to be neutralized simultaneously.

IAI’s Vice President and CEO of Elta, Yoav Turgeman: “We are proud that the Slovak government has chosen to integrate IAI’s MMR into the country’s air defense systems and thank the Ministry of Defense for its support and assistance. “To date, some 130 systems have been sold in Europe, the United States, Canada and other countries and we are confident that this is the best radar system that will advance the capabilities of the Slovak Air Force and enable it to deal with the range of air threats.”

The expected IPO was made possible after the company’s workers’ committee withdrew its opposition to the move in exchange for agreements with the Ministry of Finance regarding the abolition of the demand for refunds from thousands of workers who received higher wages than the government wage rating.

IAI is a business company, one of the largest exporters in the economy (annual sales of about NIS 14 billion, of which about NIS 10 billion for exports to about 90 countries around the world), operating in the international aerospace & defense market in which companies operate Huge as Boeing, Lockheed Martin and more. Most of the prominent companies in the company’s areas of activity have no government holdings and most of the companies are traded.
