Samsung Galaxy S21 series handset videos have been released online just hours ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event where the new phones are expected to be launched. Some live images of the Galaxy S21 models have been released which are said to reveal the new brands in more detail. Additionally, a few similar images from official listings of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 +, and Galaxy S21 Ultra have been posted by tipster on Twitter. The new leaks will provide more insight into the design and detailing of the new Samsung phones that could bring a tight flight to Apple’s iPhone 12 series.
YouTube Channel We Have The Techies posted mobile videos of the Samsung Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra. While the Samsung Galaxy S21 + features a Phantom Violet, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is featured in the Phantom Black color option.
Some pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S21 were regular, as well as the Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra shared with the channel on Twitter. The units appear in the videos and the images are likely to be for display purposes as they have a badge at the back that says, “Samsung owned”.
As it leaks, the Galaxy S21 Ultra seems to be the thickest model in the series. The channel too applications that it is significantly thicker than the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which are at 8.1mm and 7.4mm thickness, respectively.
Samsung is rumor have used plastic back on the Galaxy S21, while the Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra are rumored to feature back glass. The channel’s Twitter account posting hand-held images of the new models said that despite the glass appearance, the back of the Galaxy S21 + and the Galaxy S21 Ultra feels like plastic because of the matte coating.
The channel too applications that the Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra carry 4,800mAh and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively. Another short video posted on the We the Techies Twitter account suggests that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will not have a microSD card slot. This is in contrast to the Galaxy S20 series which has microSD card support for expandable storage up to 1TB.
Samsung is said to sell the Galaxy S21 Ultra in the US at $ 1,200 (around Rs. 87,700), which could be a starting price. The company is also rumored to have introduced several offers for carrier-locked Galaxy S21 models.
In addition to the details provided by the YouTube channel, tipster Evan Blass has more to show about the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. It has posted 360-degree animations of the Galaxy S21 trio that clearly showcase the overall design of the new models.
Blass also took to Twitter to post some screenshots that appear to be from the official lists of Samsung Galaxy S21 series models that are expected to go live shortly after the news later today. The screenshots show the camera position of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + and mention a pre-order offer in which users would receive free Galaxy Buds Live earbuds and a Galaxy SmartTag Bluetooth controller .
The phones are also being tweaked to have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The Exynos 2100 SoC is also mentioned in the new phones, except in the US where the Snapdragon 888 SoC is expected to power the Galaxy S21 series.
One of the images released by Blass also suggests that the sales boxes of the Galaxy S21 series would include a USB Type-C data cable, a SIM ejection pin, and a Getting Started Guide Soon. This means you are unlikely to get a charger and earbuds in the box. It was also taken over by other sources. The Galaxy S21 models also tend to come with an IP68 certified build for dust and water resistance.
Some other pictures posted by Blass suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with a 6E Wi-Fi connection and S Pen support. The entire Galaxy S21 series is also being scaled up to 25W Super Fast Charging and 15W Fast Wireless Charging – along with Wireless PowerShare.
In another tweet, Blass is on shared bright images of the Galaxy S21 series that give us enough detail about the color and appearance and feel of the upcoming models. There also seems to be a picture or two showing the Galaxy S21 Ultra with the silicone cover that contains room for the specially designed S Pen.
Samsung is hosting the worldwide Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event at 10am EST (8:30 pm IST) today where the Galaxy S21 series is expected to go live. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy SmartTag are likely to be announced along with the new Galaxy S-series flagships. Also, an Indian special version of the Galaxy Unpacked event will start at 8pm IST today where some local details are expected to be available.
