Developer Pokemon Go Niantic has revealed more about the February 2021 Community Day.
The upcoming Pokemon Go event got a February 7 launch date for players on iOS and Android.
As with all Community Day events since COVID restrictions took effect, the event will run for six hours, running from 11am GMT to 5pm.
Pokemon Go Community Day events shine on a special Pocket Monster, making them appear more frequently.
The February 2021 event focuses on flowering Roselia Pokemon, which is very appropriate for the month of February.
“Did you know that Roselia flowers smell more pleasantly healthier than it is?” Reads Niantic’s post.
“The scythe is said to give people a lot of rest. Community Day this February is definitely a break, then – because Roselia is the Pokemon that will be appearing!”
Players who succeed in changing Roselia during the event (or up to two hours after it ends) will receive a reward with Roserade who is familiar with the offensive Weather Ball.
In a break from tradition, the altered Roselia will know how the Fast Attack Bullet Seed.
Needless to say, special moves are not the only reason to take part in February Community Day.
Event-specific Timed Search will give players the chance to win some much-needed Sinnoh Stone.
Alternatively, a Budew lays from 2 km of an egg, which requires that eggs lay at a quarter of the required distance normally.
As with all Community Day events, Incense activated during a Community Day lasts for three hours instead of just 30 minutes.
Fans can further enhance their experience by picking up some limited editions from the in-game store.
This includes a special story about the Roselia Community Day Special Investigation, titled Stop and Smell the Roselia.
Anyone who buys a ticket for a Pokemon Go Kanto Tour with Fenruary 3 will get free access to the Search Story.
Finally, Niantic sells a Community Day Box for 1,280 PokeCoins. It has Elite FastTM, four Incense, four Super Incubators, and 30 Ultra Balls.
