A report released Wednesday shows textbooks released by the Palestinian refugee group of the United Nations include incitement against Israel and glory from terrorists who carried out acts of horrific violence.
The report published by the Institute for the Study of Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se) found that textbooks produced by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Southeast (UNRWA) include promotional materials, across all subjects and levels.

UNWRA was badly beaten in 2018 after U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration decided to scrap U.S. funding for the group, citing anti-Israel bias and misuse of currency.
The report shows that UNRWA research material frequently cites and sometimes reproduces, texts and phrases from Palestinian Authority textbooks, which include exposing violence and sacrifice a person’s life to protect the “motherland”.
Examples include Arabic grammar exercises using jihad language and passages that commemorate well-known Palestinian terrorists, such as Dalal Mughrabi, who was present at the 1978 Coast Road massacre in Israel that resulted in the death of 38 Israeli civilians, including 13 children.

Dalal Mughrabi glorified in Palestinian media
In the past, UNRWA officials have specifically denied teaching the curriculum from PA textbooks that discuss Dalal Mughrabi, making him more concerned about the introduction of the these sections in the study material.
According to the report, the material extracted by UNRWA does not refer to a possible peace with Israel, while it does not refer to the term “peace ”Never, not as an object or as a concrete object.
UNRWA’s research material also points to infamous conspiracy theories against Israel and Zionism, which perpetuate hostility and hatred towards the Jewish state and its people.
Examples of this include allegations that Israel was involved in the 1969 Al-Aqsa Mosque fire, that it emitted radioactive and toxic waste in the West Bank and that it was stealing Palestinian antiquities regularly.

The study also found that material produced by UNRWA often refers to Israel as “the Enemy,” creating a “us versus them” dichotomy. In one mathematical exercise, for example, students are asked to describe the number of dead “martyrs” in the First Intifada.
The material almost also refers to Israel by name, but as “the Office,” “Zionist Call,” “the Zionists,” or simply as “the Enemy.”
According to the study, UNRWA has adopted the Pan-Arab statement found in the PA curriculum. This included terminology such as “Arab Country”; “The Racist Enlargement Fence and Deputy,” referring to the West Bank security barrier, and “Zionist attacks” as a way to mark Israeli-Hamas military events in the Gaza Strip.

The textbooks also refer to the land that used to be the Palestinian Necessary British as Palestine or Palestine, including the 1949 known by the DA as the military identification lines.
The material produced by UNRWA also seems to avoid Jewish history, given the historical Jewish presence in the area. Most references to judging and Judaism include claims that Israel is regularly trying to “Jewish” Jerusalem.
Prior to the publication of this IMPACT study, the new UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, in a speech to the European Parliament, said “there is no room for any provision that incites violence, discrimination, racism and anti- Semitism. Let us be clear, the glory of terrorism is not taught in UNRWA schools. “

IMPACT CEO Marcus Sheff said, “in its branded material, UNRWA is a partner in radicalizing the next generation of children by glorifying terrorists, inciting violence and ‘teaching blood books to Palestinian children. Mr. Lazzarini must explain how it happened under his auspices. “
IMPACT’s Chief Operating Officer, Arik Agassi, said, “UNRWA has for years refused to publish the content and method of analysis it uses, which it says will prevent students from being exposed to inspiration in books. Palestinian text. Now we know why. “
UNRWA has not yet responded to this IMPACT report.
