When asked what the difference was between the United side who slipped 22 points behind Liverpool last season, to the United side who are level on points with the champions this season, Redknapp ‘simple answer’.
‘Bruno Fernandes,’ he told Sky Sports. “I think that’s the simple answer, I won’t immerse you in science.
‘I think since joining the club he’s changed one’s mind. The goals he got, the supports he made.
‘I saw a shift of opinion in the players because I think it wants such high standards.

He believes Fernandes also has a responsibility to change the ‘mind’ of the club as a whole
‘I think when he plays well, when he gets a score from United playing well. It’s as simple as that. He has changed players around.
‘Before he came you were afraid for Ole. I mean you were scared of him earlier in the season when he lost 1-0 at Arsenal. I made the game and thought it was running out of time here but it is turned around.
‘He has had bad results in the cup but their league form has been terrible. So you have to credit him for that, but one has changed that.
‘When you talk about the 22 points, that’s Bruno Fernandes.’

Redknapp was worried for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but says Fernandes helped turn him around.
