In the field of photography, the chip incorporates a new image processor (ISP) that supports a single camera with a resolution of up to 200 megapixels, with a photo connection capability from 6 separate sensors to create a higher quality image. On the video side, the chip supports 8K video encoding at 30FPS and 8K video decoding of up to 60FPS.

The new Exynos 2100 chip is already in production today, when it will be found in Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 series of devices.

Samsung’s new Exynos 2100 is designed to be the most advanced chip the company has produced to date, as it is intended, among other things, to close the performance gap of the company’s chips against the competing Snapdragon chips, and even show better performance than Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 In a similar configuration but with lower operating frequencies, which is expected to end the Snapdragon wars against Axinus of some of the company’s customers.

From the details that Samsung revealed today about the Exynos 2100, it is possible to deduce some features that may also be included in the Galaxy S21 models that will be presented in the coming days, and the company may combine photography capabilities from several sensors simultaneously and support 8K high definition video at 60 frames per second and filming Video in slow motion of 120 frames per second with 2K resolution.
