The English Cup provided us with a huge battle already in the fourth round of the oldest factory in Europe – Manchester United against Liverpool.
The two teams have faced each other in the Cup 17 times in the past, with the Devils to their credit 9 wins while the Mighty Reds recorded just 4 wins. 4 games ended without a draw. Despite the least flattering balance for Liverpool it is they who won the last game – 1: 2 in the 2011/12 season in the fourth round thanks to a late goal by Dirk Cout.
As is well known, the teams of Jürgen Klopp and Ola Gunnar Solskjaer have opened the season with a storm in first and second place, and they will meet on Sunday in the league. The Cup match will be played on January 23 or 24.
