MOSCOW, July 9. / TASS /. Russia’s MS-13 Progress cargo spacecraft, which was released from the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, exploded in the unmanned Pacific region, known as the ‘ spacecraft cemetery, ‘Russian state space corporation Roscosmos said in a statement Thursday.
“According to the Mission Control Center ‘s calculations <…> the MS-13 Progress spacecraft entered the Earth’s atmosphere at 1:05 Moscow time. The inevitable debris of the spacecraft occurred at the unmanned Pacific region, about 1,800 kilometers southeast of Wellington, New Zealand, ”the statement says.
The spacecraft departed from the International Space Station at 21:22 in Moscow on Wednesday.
