(Reuters) – Apple Inc has threatened to remove Parler ‘s social networking service from the App Store if the company doesn’t change its content evaluation policies, Parler CEO John Matze told Reuters on Friday.
Parler is a social network where many supporters of President Donald Trump have emigrated after being banned from services such as Twitter Inc. In a letter from the Apple Store review team to Parler seen by Reuters, Apple cited examples of using the service to make plans to land on Washington, DC, with weapons after a storm hit it. U.S. Capitol building Wednesday.
Apple declined to comment.
