PXG releases new 0211 irons, woods and hybrids with ‘unexpected’ price point

As PXG’s Chief Product Officer, Brad Schweigert’s mission is to build the most technologically advanced golf clubs, no matter how much it costs or how long the research and development process has taken. The marching orders for PXG’s latest line had an addendum, collection 2021 0211.

“We tried very hard to get to it from the scene if you could only develop one set of golf clubs that needed to be used by players of all abilities and could be used effectively. effectively, whether it’s golf golf or handball 25, how would you do it? ”Schweigert said.

“That’s what we did with the 0211. It’s something that can be used effectively no matter what your playing ability.”

PXG sees the latest 0211 line as an opportunity to expand its customer base, offering flexibility and performance at a more affordable price point.

The 2021 0211 magazines are priced at $ 195 per club, meaning an eight-club set of 4-irons through a gaping line would run $ 1,560. In comparison, the current special price of PENG GEN3 magazines is $ 249 per club – down from $ 425 – or close to $ 2,000 for a similar set.

The 0211 driver has a $ 375 price tag, which has a single weight port on its head and a head that is 10% higher than PXG’s Gen 2 output, which puts it in line with offers from other major equipment manufacturers. The fairway woods (available in 3, 5 and 7) cost $ 325 apiece and the hybrids (in four floors from 19 to 28 degrees) are $ 275 per club.

“0211s are an easy choice for players who just want a sexy set of clubs that deliver incredible performance at an unexpected price – certainly not from us,” said PXG founder and CEO Bob Parsons.

The 0211 magazines are made from 431 steel and powered by the proprietary DualCOR system inside the club head which is also in the GEN3 line. Advanced Balancing is designed to help players skip the club’s corner more easily, but the most notable element is the lack of tungsten PXG weight – just like the original 0211 line released in 2019 .

In addition to the new design that incorporates a high-angle rail and advanced balanced and kick design, the new iron line featured in GEN3 magazines has a muscular look. In addition to the cosmic element – it looks great – it gives more space to use the DualCOR technology that is integrated into the 0211.

“We have removed the signature tungsten screws because it is an expensive technology. These screws add a lot of extra costs, ”said Schweigert. “We tried to design the irons to make the most of it. We used internal pressure inside the club and a great position in the cavity to get a lot of good performance from the center of center of gravity and MOI (minute of inertia). That is one of the trading practices, if you will, from our highest end results. “

Parsons in the past has said that these black tungsten and titanium weights cost PXG more than the company ‘s competitors pay to make their clubs. While the signature weights are reserved for the PXG banner product, designers said there is no other sacrifice from a tech standpoint.

“It’s the best stuff and the really great technology, but we targeted these to customers regardless of their speed (swing) or playing ability,” said Schweigert. “If you want something that is simple, easy to use and smooth work, you are a boy or a girl 0211.”
