CLAYTON – River Muse Art Gallery & Studio invites artists to submit works for its concert, “Celebrating the Winter of our Northern Country.”
Artists at all levels are invited to submit winter-inspired works of art in all mediums.
The exhibition “Celebrating Our North Country Winter” opens on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the River Muse Art Gallery & Studio, 229 John St., with an opening ceremony from 11am to 4pm. It will remain on view through March 6.
This year’s “Winter on the River” exhibition will benefit the Hawn Memorial Library in Clayton and the Depauville Free Public Library. Portions of the proceeds from each art sale will be donated to the Hawn Memorial Library and Depauville Free Public Library.
COVID-19 pandemic guidelines and restrictions will be in place and implemented through this demonstration. The gallery will adhere to its policy of not allowing more than eight visitors at any one time. Tours are booked and booked every 20 minutes during the opening reception period.
This exhibition will be limited to the first 30 two-dimensional artworks, and the first 30 three-dimensional artworks submitted. Artists can enter up to three creations. All artwork must be listed for sale.
Artworks will be limited to:
n Original work completed by the incoming artist.
n Properly signed and framed drawings and prints of artwork completed by the incoming artist.
n Original three-dimensional creations completed by the incoming artist.
n The maximum exterior artwork dimensions are 36 inches high, 36 inches wide and 36 inches deep.
Prizes:
Entries in all categories will be eligible for cash and merchandise awards with support from participating businesses. The selection of awards will be decided by a panel of judges from participating sponsors. A list of all the awards, and their sponsors, will be announced before the arts entry deadline on 5 February.
All artwork will be available for purchase during gallery operating hours from 11 February 6 to 3 pm March 6. Artists will receive 60% of the pre-tax sale price, posted to the artists’ registered mailing address, upon receipt money from River Art Gallery & Muse Studio.
