There is a risk that football players will miss out on lucrative sponsorship deals amid a grab from brands to connect with players after a series of devastating Covid breaches.

Highly profitable trading partnerships with footballers have become commonplace in recent years due to the popularity of the Premier League.

But Sportsmail understands that there is currently a reluctance of brands to associate with football players due to the growing number of players embracing Covid-19 rules.
