As NXT Champion Finn Balor prepares to postpone the 2020 NXT Game of the Year at New Year Evil, he’s contemplating another championship contest. Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda, Balor says his game with Brock Lesnar at the 2019 Royal Rumble is one of his favorite pastimes.
It’s been almost two years since the PrinXe and the Beast fought over the World Cup, and Finn Balor says getting a ring with Brock Lesnar is just a different experience.
“That was a good night. Of course Brock’s reputation goes on. You rarely get the feeling he’s getting into the field. The only thing I remember is you know, I’m on my way in, his music is beating, he’s getting into the ring and it’s not an act and it’s not playtime. good, very bad and it is life or death.
“And it’s a moment where you feel completely lost in what’s going on around you. You’re not acting, you’re not pretending, you’re not performing, you’re And you live in Brock Lesnar world. That was a very rare time where you are full of what is happening in the ring. “
Finn Balor says that special knowledge is definitely something he hopes to have again before his career is said and done.
Is Finn Balor prioritizing his return to the Universal Championship?
His match with Brock Lesnar was the last time Finn Balor got a chance to win the World Championship. The PrinXe will always be remembered as the first to win that title, but with a serious shoulder injury it made him miss less than 24 hours later.
He’s only gotten two shots to reclaim the Universal title since then, and he wasn’t successful either. He has obviously been successful since his return to NXT, but does he have a desire to grab the title that he did not lose one day in the future?
“I don’t prioritize titles. You know, I have this weird view of those things. I’ve been very lucky to get the universal title in the past. That was all I needed because that’s the chase, that’s what you want.You know? You get it and once you have it, you know you, anything else after that is just kind of a side dress. “
Finn Balor says it would be great to be in the Universal title picture again, but that he would be more interested in challenging for the WWE Championship since he never held it. If that happens one day, obviously Balor thinks it would be great, but it ‘s not something he’s following.
