Mad Catz RAT DWS – Wireless gaming mouse with mechanical keys

Gaming solutions maker Mad Catz has announced theRAT DWS, The first wireless gaming mouse in the company’s RAT series, which uses mechanical DAKOTA keys with an accurate sensor to the level of 16000DPI, a 5GHz and 2.4GHz Bluetooth connection and an extremely long battery life of up to 300 hours.

The RAT DWS mouse maintains the high adaptability of the RAT series with 3 types of replaceable pinky armrests and a pair of replaceable palm restrests, for optimal fit of the mouse to the user. The mouse comes with no less than 14 built-in buttons that can be programmed using the company’s dedicated software, with the ability to save 4 different profiles for quick switching between different games.

In order to provide extremely high accuracy in gaming, the RAT DWS mouse comes with a PixArt PAW3335DB optical sensor with a sensitivity of up to 16000DPI and an acceleration capability of up to 40G. It is also the company’s first wireless mouse to use mechanical DAKOTA keys that offer extremely low response times. On the wireless connection side, the mouse supports a Bluetooth 5.0 or 2.4GHz connection designed for extremely low latency times of 1ms, when according to the company it offers up to 300 to 200 hours of use, respectively, on a single AA battery.

The new Mad Catz RAT DWS mouse will be available for sale during the month of February at an unknown price.

While quite a few professional PC gamers and gamers will prefer to use wired mice most often for extremely low latency times, the new generation of wireless gaming mice is starting to offer new solutions that manage to deliver similar performance to wired gaming mice.
