LG unveils 48-inch curved CSO display for game ahead of event- Technology News, Firstpost

LG Display is set to launch the first 48-inch OLED (CSO) curved cinematic audio display for demo in the upcoming Consumer Technology Association (CES) 2021. Ahead of the Event 11 January, LG unveiled the appearance of many of its devices and gadgets on the internet. The 48-inch curved CSO display features a thin paper screen that can go straight or bend as needed. Curved screens are going to increase the visual experience and are beneficial for high-quality games.

As it is a CSO screen, the entire panel is a speaker and thus implements the monitoring features without the help of external speakers. It also boasts a film exciter that animates the screen accordingly to give viewers an immersive experience.

As per the company press release, the screen can bend to 1,000R curvature without affecting any function. The company promises that uniform viewing speed has been maintained from center to edge while shaping the rotation. The panel is very thin, with only 0.6 mm in width and a response time of 0.1 ms. On the other hand, it features a 120 Hz refresh rate with variable refresh rate support from 40 Hz to 120 Hz. specific information about the model’s intent has not yet been confirmed.

LG Display also released a teaser video of everything coming to CES 2021 on YouTube.

In addition to LG, major technology brands such as Samsung, Philips, Canon, and Lenovo are set to participate in the CES this year. The event will start on January 11 and run until January 14, 2021. Intel will host the event and interested viewers can visit the official CES 2021 website and register for the event. The online program was kept open to the media, industry invaders as well as the general public but registration is required ahead of the event.
