The Philadelphia 76ers are a team that is still working out the kinks, but they are doing so while still winning basketball games. The Sixers sit at 5-1 through six games and have won ugly games and won well.
On Saturday, the win over the Charlotte Hornets can be taken into the beautiful division. They dropped 16 of 16 points, led by as many as 17, never found, and comfortably won 127-112. In the process, Tobias Harris continued his strong performance as he put up 24 points for his third straight game of 20+ points.
Harris also added nine rebounds with six assists, four assists, and three blocks while filling the stat page. That stat line is the first of its kind in Sixers history since Charles Barkley in 1990.
The Sixers have been in need of this kind of performance from Harris moving forward as they have been working with him to make quicker decisions. Both coaches Doc Rivers and Ben Simmons enjoyed what Harris brought to the table and hopefully he can keep it starting with a replay Monday with the Hornets at Wells Fargo Center.
