K Balu, who has starred in several famous Tamil films, including Chinna Thambi, under his KB banner films, was arrested for heart attack in a private hospital on Friday. The Kollywood producer had been in the hospital and receiving treatment for COVID019. The decline of the veterans ’representative has left Kollywood in shock and grief.
Representative K Balu was undergoing treatment after contracting a modern coronavirus infection and suffered a sudden heart attack on January 1. However, despite the efforts of doctors the agent was revived , he succeeded at a private hospital, reports said.
Some of the works managed by K Balu include Chinna Thambi in 1991, starring Prabhu and Khushboo and Panchalankurichi, directed by Seeman and Janagraman, and actor Sarath Kumar.
According to reports, Balu’s funeral was held at E-Cemetry in Besant Nagar at 11.30am on Saturday.
Many Kollywood actors and producers took to social media to express panic and sadness about the producer’s downfall.
Award-winning national producer Dhananjayan said, “We are surprised by the news of popular producer K Balu sir dying today. I’m really sorry about the depression. Rest in peace Balu sir. ”
Actress and politician Sarath Kumar said, “I am shocked and saddened by the death of KB Films Balu today (Saturday). It left too early and created a gap in the film industry. May the soul rest in peace. My deepest sympathies go out to family, friends and colleagues from the industry. ”
Returning with Sarath Kumar ‘s message of condolence, actress Radikaa Sarath Kumar said, “She is gone too early. Rest in peace.”
Director Venkat Prabhu also extended his friendship to Balu’s uncle. “Amazing person! Miss uncle to you! KB Films Balu resting in peace is my deepest condolences to the family, ”he wrote on Twitter.
Actress-politician Khushboo, who has progressed by winning a state government award under his banner, said, “I am deeply saddened to hear that the producer of the biggest film I have hit with Chinna Thambi is no longer with us. He fought a battle with ill health for a long time. Just wishing he could win. I put my heart into my heart. ”
