Pakistani bat Rameez Raja has questioned the dramatic decline in the bowling of Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah. He said a loss in speed has made them miss the loss, and both have lost their ability as a result.
He made this view while talking about the improvements Pakistan needs to show in the second Test against New Zealand, in a video shared on its YouTube channel.
Rameez Raja began by revealing that Mohammad Abbas has not been up to the mark in the last year or so, and it is easy for bats to go against his swing bowl on because of how fast it is.
“Mohammad Abbas’ s performance has been a bit iffy. His pace has gone down. And he hasn’t now; he’s been struggling for the last one year. even if you snap the ball two yards, they know that if they play out his three-fours over with the new ball, they can read his swing early, as the speed has gone down, ” said Rameez Raja.
The reporter noted that the management of the Pakistan team must help Abbas to rediscover the former, as he is currently short of power, even with a slightly older member. Raja said in this regard:
“So his efficiency and ingenuity with the new ball has diminished. Pakistan’s bowling ideology needs to think about how Abbas’s pace needs to increase, and what he’s doing wrong with it. that the first spells are okay but the ones that followed, he was not the only bowler he was a year and a half ago. “
Rameez Raja pointed out that Mohammad Abbas’ inability to be among the wickets has affected Pakistan’s bowling plans.
“They have to sit down and talk about it because Abbas’ failure to take wickets is hitting the Pakistan team hard. It used to create a window of opportunity with the new member and later on as well. He used to bowl in the right areas and get the ball moving at a faster pace, but now the speed has dropped dramatically, “said Rameez Raja.
“What happened to Naseem Shah’s pace?” – Rameez Raja
Naseem Shah’s average speed today has so far been at 136.65 kph, which is the second slowest average speed of his short career to date.
Today it has only delivered a single delivery above 140kph#NZvPAK
The fight that Pakistan showed while trying to save the first Test match against New Zealand has been praised by many experts. However, the inability of their archers to run through the Kiwi batting line in the first innings on green eyes with a green top.
Shaheen Afridi was the only Pakistani bowler to cover himself in glory, but Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah failed to create much of an idea.
Pakistan team leaders will be hoping for a much better performance from their astronauts if they want to draw a draw in the two-game series.
