During the second half of the football game in the Premier League in Potosi, Bolivia, which took place on Christmas Eve last week, a beautiful white dog burst onto the field and started running among the players. For long minutes, the dog walked around on the grass, carrying a soccer shoe in his face, until one of the players, if not the most famous among them, decided to take action. The match took place between the De Strongest team, which is in second place in the Bolivian table, and the Atletico Nacional Potosi club, Bella Paz. While the players were fighting on the field, the dog was walking around on the grass and seemed to be enjoying the attention he was getting from the players, who started petting him and playing with him. Finally, player Raul Castro, from the De Strongest team, picked up the dog and placed it beyond the boundaries of the field.
The dog chatto on the field (Photo: Screenshot: Reuters)Apparently, the dog was unable to get out of Castro’s head throughout the game, as he eventually decided to adopt him from the animal shelter to which he was taken immediately after the game, according to a report on the Daily Mail news site. “I contacted the shelter and told them I would adopt him,” Castro said, adding that the dog’s name would be Checheto, as the other players called him on the field. Also, according to the shelter workers, the dog came to them after being hit by a car about two weeks ago. And just for general information – the game ended 3-0 for the “The Strongest” team, which played in a home game.
