Liverpool recorded a disappointing 0: 0 tonight (Wednesday) against Newcastle away, in a game in the 16th round of the Premier League. This is the second draw in a row for the champion.
Jürgen Klopp’s side still lead the table with 33 points, but Manchester United could equal it if they beat Aston Villa on Friday. Liverpool are struggling this season outside of Anfield and have won just once away in their last five games and a total of twice each season.

Liverpool had a hard time cracking the Magpies defense. Roberto Firmino got into some good situations but was not accurate enough, with both Muhammad Salah and Sadio Mane trying their luck without success. Thiago Alcantara returned from an injury of more than two months and came in in the 73rd minute in place of James Milner who this time received the place in the lineup.
In the next round, Liverpool expect another away game, this time against Southampton and they will try to avoid a third game in a row without a win. Newcastle for its part with not collecting 3 points already four games in a row.
