If we look at 2019/20, we find that 16 teams scored better than Milwaukee off the arc in the regular season, and 10 teams were ahead of it in the playoffs. And the truth? This is not surprising. Because when you think of teams that are identified with that 3-point shot, you usually think of the faces of James Harden and his friends in Houston, but starting today you can replace red with green.
Tonight (Tuesday through Wednesday), Milwaukee took off shooting abilities she also did not know she had, sniped 29 times off the arc and broke the NBA record for threes in the game. This is probably what happens when you meet the one who ousted you from the playoffs in disgrace. “The Bucks have been waiting for this game against us for 80 days,” the Miami coach said Eric Spolstra. “They played with a different kind of intensity. It was an extraordinary shooting display.”
Milwaukee coach Mike Bodenholzer He modestly concluded: “We had a good day out of three,” and according to reporters overseas, he revealed the record only during the post-match press conference. Bodenholzer added: “There are days when the God of Basketball is with you, and the game against Miami was one of those days.”

And now, for the numbers:
* Of course, Milwaukee broke the NBA record for threes in the game (29). The previous record belonged to the Rockets who scored 27 threes in April 2019.
Milwaukee has become the first team ever to have 12 different players score in one game.
* 97: 144 is the biggest away win in Milwaukee history. The previous one was at 39 points (April 1987).
* Only once in Miami’s history has it suffered a greater loss.
* 108 times in history The NBA team has thrown over 50 threes in a game. Milwaukee is the first to do so at 50% or more (56.9% to be exact).
* Yannis Antecompo is the only Milwaukee player to not score a three, and he finished with just 9 points. The last time the MVP did not score in double digits was in December 2018 against … Miami away.
* Yannis may not have scored outside the arc but his brother Thanasis sniped his first three-pointer in the NBA. To date he has stood at 0 out of 11.
Milwaukee did not force the threes. Her last shot from three came 3:30 minutes to go.
* 47 points difference is the third biggest victory over the East / West champion. Golden State lost to Dallas in November 2019 by 48 points, and Houston lost to Seattle by 56 points in December 1986.
