Google Supporter will sing you a New Year’s Song, and it’s awesome

Google Assistant is capable of many things, including the ability to sing a song now on demand. While it is a bit impressive that the voice assistant is able to do so in several languages including English (Indian), it is worth noting here that this song very strange, and the singing is terribly useless and deserves a cringe in the same thing as you would expect if you asked a robot to sing. The song can be called “Ok Google, sing the new year song” on any Google enabled device.

The ‘new feature’, if you can call it that, was named by Google through tweet, with animation. I tried it on Google Nest Audio, and immediately regretted my decision, even though the song didn’t last too long. With weird words moving from motivating to boosting Google search capabilities in a matter of seconds, this song is just as bad as it was this year.

If you use a sleek display like Google Nest Hub or an Android phone, you’ll see an animation of a strangely round pixelated object dancing to the song. It’s pretty weird, but I’d highly recommend listening to it to just understand how weird life has evolved at this point. Listen to it a couple of times if you have to, and then steer it while you think about how weird 2020 has been and how this weird song is a fitting ending to it.

On a more risky note, Google Assistant has seen significant improvements over the years, and can now be said to be one of the top voicemakers available today. The company recently launched Google Nest Audio, which combines the capabilities of Google Assistant with good sound quality under Rs. 10,000. Xiaomi also recently launched Mi Smart Speaker, which delivers great, loud sound at a much lower price of Rs. 3,999. No matter how good the speaker is, however, Google ‘s new year song for 2020 will still be bad.
