A 49-year-old man arrived this evening (Monday) at an emergency pre-medical center at the promenade branch in Jerusalem after suffering an anaphylactic reaction, about an hour after receiving a vaccine from a health fund. The man said he had previously had an anaphylactic reaction as a result of a penicillin allergy, but did not suffer from any background illnesses. He received medication. His condition will be stabilized and he is now under supervision.
Broadcast by the Ministry of Health on the subject of vaccination for Corona
Earlier today, it was reported that a 75-year-old man from the north of the country died shortly after being vaccinated against the corona virus. The Ministry of Health, which is investigating the case, announced that the deceased suffered from active heart disease and malignant disease, and a number of past heart attacks have even been documented. Following the incident, the director general of the Ministry of Health, Professor Hezi Levy, appointed a case investigation committee headed by the head of the Ministry of Health’s Safety and Quality Division. From the initial examination conducted by the Ministry of Health, no connection was found between taking the vaccine and the unfortunate event, and at this stage the vaccination operation continues as usual.
As you may recall, earlier this month the Agency for the Approval of Medicines and Health Products, the UK regulatory body for health, updated that two medical staff who received the first dose of the vaccine on Tuesday developed allergic reactions immediately after receiving the injections. The two, who had previously suffered similar reactions, were forced to inject themselves with a dose of adrenaline from the syringes they regularly carry to stabilize their condition.
